Nicole & Chris Elopement

Sam’s Point Preserve

Nicole and Chris share a love of hiking. Exploring interesting locations, breathing fresh air, seeing wildlife, getting exercise, and chatting along the way. Such a great hobby to share with your significant other! I had been looking forward to this day for a while! I love hiking too, but don’t get out as much as I would like. Being able to incorporate it into my job is pretty incredible! I had been friends with Nicole on social media for a long time now and always enjoy seeing her posts about the locations she and Chris visit. It seems they are always on a mountain top! I knew their day was going to be epic. Plus Nicole had told me early on that she would be wearing a flowy dress which I knew would blow so beautifully in the wind. My favorite. Well, July 13th came and it lived up to our expectations! We met in the morning at Sam’s Point in Ulster County NY. This location is a favorite hiking spot of theirs. The views it offers of the Hudson Valley are incredible and it’s such a peaceful atmosphere. They decided to do a first look for several reasons, but one of them being that they could walk “down the aisle” together. Their entrance was probably my favorite moment of the day as they danced in to one of Nicole’s favorite songs. It was cheerful, just as these two are, and made the spirit fun. Perfect. Then they had a touching ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends on one of the overlooks. A dog friend of theirs, who is also their hiking buddy was the ring bearer! He actually carried the wedding bands to them at the ceremony tied to his collar. So adorable and what well behaved pup! They walked back down from the mountain as husband and wife to a lovely lunch setup that their family and friends put together for them. It was a perfect morning filled with so much love and just the right amount of adventure! Congratulations Nicole & Chris! Thank you for trusting me with your memories!
